About Ilana Muhlstein

Hi, I’m Ilana Muhlstein, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master’s in Nutrition Science, a mom of three, and someone who has personally lived through the challenges of weight struggles and unhealthy food relationships.

As a child, I battled with my weight and the emotional connection I had with food. At just eight years old, I remember my pediatrician saying I was “off the charts”—a phrase that still echoes in my mind. My struggles with weight and self-image were overwhelming. Food became my comfort during moments of inconsistency in my life, but it also became my greatest challenge.

At eight, I was sent to “Fat Camp,” where I lost 30 pounds in one summer. But by the time school started again, I had regained it all. This cycle of weight loss and gain continued until, at 13 years old, I reached my peak weight—215 pounds on a five-foot-two-inch frame, wearing a size 20. The diets, the deprivation, and the mindset of failure only made things worse.

But one day, I decided I wanted more for myself. I realized that losing the weight and keeping it off wouldn’t happen through shortcuts or quick fixes—it would take a complete shift in mindset, habits, and lifestyle. I committed to doing the work, but I also made it fun and achievable for myself. That’s how I started to turn my life around.

Now, as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others—especially families and kids—break free from the frustrating cycles I once knew so well. I’ve combined my personal experiences, professional expertise, and passion to create tools, strategies, and programs that truly work. My goal is to help you and your family develop positive food relationships, build confidence, and find joy in a healthy lifestyle.

I understand where you’re coming from because I’ve been there. And I’m here to show you that change is not just possible—it’s sustainable and empowering.
